Laura Deann Garrett, age 59, of Shell Knob, Missouri, went to be with her husband Dordie on Monday, November 29, 2021.  Mrs. Garrett, daughter of Jim and Viola (Johnson) Thiessen, was born on November 5, 1962, in Council Bluffs, Iowa.  On March 8, 1996, she was united in marriage to George A. Garrett, III, in St. Joseph, Missouri. They were inseparable, the perfect pair and are united at last.  Laura was fierce, loyal, kind, and she instilled these qualities in her one and only daughter Jami, as well as her two granddaughters. Needless to say for Laura, her girls hung the galaxy.  Her fur babies Zoey, Oliver, and Olivia were cherished companions.

Laura left behind one daughter, Jami McSorley-Whisman and her husband Jamie, of Shell Knob; two granddaughters, Kylie Martin and Jalie Whisman; one brother; three sisters; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Laura was preceded in death by her husband George Garrett, III, on March 21, 2010.

A celebration of life will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, December 2, 2021, at White Funeral Home and Crematory, Cassville, Missouri, with Brother Reece Morrow officiating.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to service time at the funeral home.
