Obituary

Lawrence Edward Collins, Jr., 73, of Eagle Rock, Missouri, went home to Jesus on Saturday, May 7, 2022, surrounded by his loving family. Lawrence was born February 18, 1949, in Waterbury, Connecticut.  He was the son of Lawrence E. Collins, Sr. and Dorothy (Blanchard) Collins.

Larry is survived by his wife of 50 years, Carol (Fecteau) Collins and son, Lawrence E. Collins lll. Larry was a Vietnam War Veteran, Sergeant E5, serving in the United States Army, 1967-1969.  He enjoyed a successful career in manufacturing as a consultant for spindle sales and repair, continuing the work he so loved right up to the time of his death.  He was also an Amway consultant for 10 years, traveling the country.

A true sports lover, Larry coached American Legion Baseball in Torrington, CT.  He loved the UCONN Huskies, the Boston Red Sox, and the New England Patriots.  He was also an avid golfer.

Larry will always be remembered by all who knew him as a wise, kind, and generous man devoted to his family and dedicated to his Church, St Edith Stein, Our Lady of Fatima and Divine Mercy in Katy, TX as well as St Edward Church in Cassville, MO.

In addition to his wife Carol and son Lawrence lll,  Larry is survived by his brother, Bruce (Julia) Collins, of New York, NY and sister Lauren Sage of Bantam, CT. He was preceded in death by his beloved daughter, Shawn Lee Collins in 1988 and his brother Thomas John Collins in 2017. He is survived by beloved nieces and nephews.

No services are scheduled at this time.  A memorial with military honors will be held in the near future.

Cremation arrangements are under the direction of White Funeral Home & Crematory, Cassville, MO.
