Obituary

Lee R. Schroeder, II, age 59, of Cassville, Missouri, passed away on Tuesday, March 12, 2019, at Mercy Hospital in Cassville.  Mr. Schroeder, son of Lee R. Schroeder, I, and Dora Jean Rudd, was born on September 15, 1959, in San Diego, California.  He was a 1977 Clairemont High School graduate and went on to receive a degree from Columbia School of Broadcasting in 1986.  Lee worked as a restaurant manager for most of his life, which included Bob's Big Boy and Red Lobster in California and McDonald's for 14 years in Cassville.  He was currently employed at Baywash in Cassville where he never met a stranger.  Lee lived life to the fullest, always had a smile on his face, and loved to make people laugh. He was very devoted to his family and took great pride in being a father and a grandpa.  Lee enjoyed the outdoors such as fishing, kayaking, and riding his motorcycle with his boys.  He was a diehard Dallas Cowboys fan who never missed a game.  Lee was a dear friend to many who left a lasting impression in all our lives and will forever be missed.

Survivors include a daughter, Sara Stickle and her husband, Jay; three sons, Lee R. Schroeder, III, Bryan Schroeder and his wife Brooke, and Kevin Callahan and his girlfriend Molly; eight grandchildren; his mother, Dora Jean Rudd; one brother, Jeff Schroeder and his girlfriend Terry; two sisters, Kerry Coleman and her husband Tom, and Kimi Anding and her husband Michael; several nieces and nephews; special friends, Sharon Paiz, Arron and Renee Moore, and Bob Callahan, who thought of him as a son; and his beloved dog, Olaf.

Lee was preceded in death by his father and Ruth Callahan who thought of him as a son.

Memorial services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, March 23, 2019, at the First Baptist Church in Cassville, with Pastor James Weaver officiating.  The family will receive friends from 9:00 a.m. until service time.

Cremation arrangements and service are under the direction of the White Funeral Home and Crematory, Cassville, Missouri.
