Leta Burns, age 92, passed away on Tuesday, August 27, 2024, at Mercy Hospital in Cassville, Missouri, surrounded by her family, Leta, daughter of Perry and Eva (Searl) Hickman, was born on September 21, 1931, in McDonald County. She married the love of her life Henry Burns on May 2, 1953.

Leta is survived by one daughter, Gayla Treadwell and her husband Donnie of Washburn, Missouri; two grandsons, Buzz Treadwell and his wife Leah of Cassville, Missouri and Trey Treadwell of Washburn, Missouri; five great grandchildren, Zane, Garron, Tripp, Presley, and Asher; three sisters, Marilyn Selleck and her husband Walter of Washburn, Missouri, Faye Paul of Washburn, Missouri and Deanna Day and her husband Ronnie of Purdy, Missouri; and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to her husband Henry of 60 years, she was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters, Edna Brannan and Norma Lawrence, and one brother, Ned Hickman.

A graveside service will be held Tuesday, September 3, 2024, at 1:00 p.m. at Hickman Cemetery in Washburn, Missouri.

Arrangements are under the direction of White Funeral Home and Crematory in Cassville, Missouri.
