Francis Lyle Padgett, age 82, of Cassville, Missouri, passed away at his home on Wednesday, October 17, 2018. Mr. Padgett, son of Clyde and Erma (Stumpff) Padgett, was born on June 15, 1936, in Jenkins. On November 8, 1953, he was united in marriage to Delphena Mae Lester in the Cross Hollows community; she preceded him in death on December 2, 2013. Mr. Padgett always had a smile on his face and never met a stranger. He enjoyed farming and loved being around his grandchildren.

Survivors include one son, Raymond Padgett and his wife Dorothy, of Marionville; two daughters, Sheila Friend and her husband Danny, of Cassville, and Nancy Nunez, of Butterfield; two grandsons, Travis Terry and his wife Leticia, of Republic, and Lance Eaton and his wife Tracy, of Exeter; nine great-grandchildren, Makayla Terry, Michael Terry, Brian Terry, Miguel Terry, Monica Terry, Malcolm Terry, Hailie Eaton, Jesse Eaton, and Charlee Eaton; one great-great-grandson, Samson Wilson; one brother, Marlin Padgett, of Bakersfield, California; and one sister, Marie Brown.

In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by two sons, Daniel Luke Padgett and Rhuel Dale Padgett; one granddaughter, Leanna Terry; three brothers, Gilbert Padgett, Jay Padgett, and Ray Padgett; and two sisters, Lorain Shadrick and Clara Littek.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, October 23, 2018, at the White Funeral Home and Crematory, Cassville, with Pastor Roger Owens and Jared Lankford officiating. Burial to follow at Clio Cemetery in Jenkins.   The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Monday, October 22 ^nd at the funeral home.
