Obituary

Lynda "Weezie" Freeman, age 55, passed away on Monday, August 19, 2024, surrounded by her family. Lynda, daughter of William Key and Mary Scannell, was born on May 17, 1969, in Stella, Missouri. She attended Bible Freedom Fellowship and was a member Mission Baptist Church. Lynda married the love of her life Charles Freeman on July 1, 1995, in Seligman, Missouri; he survives. She loved traveling, crocheting, and reading.

In addition to her husband of 29 years, she is survived by two sons, William Freeman of Seligman, Missouri and Johnathan Freeman of Colescity, Indiana; one daughter, Alison Palmer and her husband John of Caraway, Arkansas; six grandchildren; three brothers, Michael Scannell and his wife Leslie of Seligman, Missouri, Joseph Scannell and his wife Margaret of Seligman, Missouri, and Howard Watkins and his wife Jennifer of San Antonio, Texas; four nephews; and two nieces.

Lynda was preceded in death by her father William Key Jr., Her stepfather Mike Scannell, grandmother Rowena Higgs and grandparents Vernon and Opal Whitcomb.

A celebration of life will be held September 7th at 12pm at the Crowder College Campus. Family is asking instead of bringing food to the house, if everyone would just bring something to the service.

Memorials may be made to the family and entrusted to White Funeral Home and Crematory.

Arrangements are under the direction of White Funeral Home and Crematory in Cassville, Missouri.
