Marilyn J. Barrett, age 91, passed away on May 10, 2023, at Mercy Hospital in Springfield, Missouri. Mrs. Barnett, daughter of Bernard and Rose (Harris) Winnie, was born on June 22, 1931, in Oaklawn, California. In August of 1977, she was united in marriage to Art Barrett; he survives.

Marilyn was employed for years by JC Penney's as a supervisor. She was of the Presbyterian faith.

Survivors include three sons, Michael Henley and his wife Julie, of Sante Fe, New Mexico, Art Barrett and his wife Angela, of San Francisco, California, and Mitchell Barrett and his wife Cheryl, of Eastman, Georgia; three daughters; Janice Butler and her husband Daniel, of Las Vegas, Nevada, Nancy Frisbee and her husband Ken of Marion, North Carolina, and Jeannie Burwell of Seneca, Missouri; 14 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren, and three great-great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by one son, Randall Henley.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.

Cremation arrangements are under the direction of White Funeral Home and Crematory of Cassville, Missouri.
