Mary D. Stringer, age 93, of Cassville, Missouri, passed away at her home on Thursday, February 28, 2019.  Mrs. Stringer, daughter of Marion and Mabel (Skelton) Earls, was born on October 15, 1925, in Eagle Rock, Missouri.  She was a 1943 Cassville High School graduate and went on to receive her teaching degree from Missouri State.  On February 15, 1946, she was united in marriage to Herman L. Stringer in Mano, Missouri; he preceded her in death on November 24, 2015.  During World War II, Mrs. Stringer worked as a QC inspector for Beechcraft Air in Wichita, Kansas.  She also worked for the U.S. Dept. of Agriculture in Kansas City.  She enjoyed crafts such as sewing and painting, along with cooking and gardening.

Survivors include two sons, Stephen Lee Stringer and his wife Mary, of Lee's Summit, Missouri, and Michael James Stringer, of Peculiar, Missouri; and one daughter, Elizabeth Jane Stringer McNey and her husband Jim, of Jupiter, Florida; five grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren and one on the way; daughter in-law, Glenda Stringer, of Independence, Missouri; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her son, David Earle Stringer; her sister, Annabelle Earls Ford, and her brother Larry Earls.

Graveside services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, March 5, 2019, at Corinth Cemetery in Cassville, with Pastor Rick Cooper officiating.
