Maxine Dove, age 92, of Washburn, Missouri, passed away at her home on Monday, April 9, 2018. Mrs. Dove, daughter of Mack Henry and Lenora (Reagan) Germany, was born on July 27, 1925 in Union, Mississippi. On July 19, 1947, she was united in marriage to William Kenneth Dove. Mrs. Dove was a homemaker for most of her life until her kids were grown when she then went on to receive her LPN at the age of forty and her RN license at fifty. She loved to read her Bible daily, and tell others of God's wondrous work; she attended Washburn First Baptist Church. Mrs. Dove had an infectious warm smile that always left a lasting impression. She enjoyed sewing, being with friends and loved her family dearly.
Survivors include two sons, Ken Dove and his wife Marlene, of Clearwater, Florida, and Phillip Dove and his wife Beth, of Virginia Beach, Virginia; one daughter, Joan Gavigan, of Washburn; six grandchildren, Timothy Keates and his wife Cassandra, of Washburn, Shawn Dove and his wife Christine, of Seattle, Washington, Mark Dove, of Clearwater, Florida, Andrew Dove and his wife Angela, of Austin Texas, Mollie Nadal and her husband Herman, of Virginia Beach, Virginia and Alex Dove and his wife Samantha, of Fort Collins, Colorado; nine great-grandchildren; one sister, Elizabeth Moore, of Mooresville, Indiana; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by six brothers and sisters.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, April 14, 2018, at 11:00 a.m. at the Washburn First Baptist Church with Pastor Jim Erwin officiating. Burial will be held on Saturday, April 21, 2018, at Bay Pines National Cemetery in Clearwater, Florida.
Cremation arrangements are under the direction of the White Funeral Home and Crematory, Cassville, Missouri.
