In Loving Memory of

Nathan "Big Nate" McFarland

1977 – 2025

"A heart as big as his smile."

Nathan "Big Nate" McFarland was a fierce protector, a loyal friend, and a man who never hesitated to help others. Known for his unforgettable hugs and radiant smile, Nathan had a way of making everyone feel like family.

Born in Bentonville, Arkansas, Nathan spent his elementary years in Guymon, Oklahoma, before settling in Cassville, Missouri, the place he would forever call home. He was a proud member of the Cassville High School Class of 1995, where he played football as a Wildcat. Though he earned a scholarship to Missouri Valley College, Nathan chose to work and take care of his family instead—a true reflection of his selfless nature.

Nathan was a jack-of-all-trades: a skilled craftsman, a gifted artist, and a man unafraid of hard work or hard times. He loved the outdoors—fishing, hunting, camping—and cherished time spent with his loved ones. A former Cub Scout and a lifelong adventurer, Nathan lived life with passion and purpose.

He was a devoted dog owner to his faithful companion, Simon Whiskey, and took pride in the simple joys of life. Above all, Nathan loved his family. He is survived by his loving mother, Victoria Jean McFarland; his daughters, Aaliyah Briscoe and her husband Dalton, Madison Weathermon, Kayla Weathermon, and Isabella Weathermon; and his cherished grandchildren, Delilah, who was the light of his life, and Link and Luna; and one brother Benjamin Tinnin.

Nathan was welcomed into Heaven by his beloved little brother, Trenton Ray, his father, and many other dear family members who went before him. He leaves behind a legacy of kindness, strength, and loyalty that will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.

He will be deeply missed by his family, countless friends, and all who were lucky enough to know him.

A funeral service will be held Saturday, May 3, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at White Funeral Home and Crematory with John Hile officiating.

Memorials may be made to his granddaughter Delilah Briscoe and entrusted to White Funeral Home and Crematory in Cassville, Missouri.
