Norma Jean Gunnels, age 88, of Cassville, Missouri, passed away on Friday, December 31, 2020, at Roaring River Health and Rehab in Cassville. Mrs. Gunnels, daughter of Olen and Minerva (Bradley) Edie, was born on July 5, 1932, in Cassville. On January 21, 1950, she was united in marriage to Billy Joe Gunnels; he preceded her in death on December 14, 2013. She worked at Johnston's Variety Store for several years, and also helped her brother Don in the Maytag store. Norma's children and grandchildren were her world; she was a loving woman with a heart of gold who would do anything for anyone.   She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Cassville.

Survivors include one son, Joe Gunnels and his wife Sue, of Cassville; one daughter, Linda Cline and her husband Steve, of West Plains; three grandchildren, Scott Cline and his wife Tasha, of West Plains, JoLynn Robinson and her husband Josh, of Springfield, and Becky Trammell and her husband Dakota, of Nixa; eight great-grandchildren, Zoe, Bella, Julianne, and Jaxon Robinson, Bentley and Jordyn Trammell, and Sutton and Silas Cline; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Leon and Don Edie.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, January 6, 2021, at the White Funeral Home and Crematory, Cassville, with Pastor James Weaver officiating; burial to follow at Oakhill Cemetery in Cassville.
