Norma Belia Ortega, age 55, of Purdy, Missouri, passed away on Tuesday, December 8, 2020, at Mercy Hospital in Rogers, Arkansas. Mrs. Ortega, daughter of Emilio A. Alva and Trina (Chapa) Herd, was born on June 17, 1965, McAllen, Texas. On December 16, 1994, she was united in marriage to Roberto Ortega in McAllen, Texas. Norma worked many years for EFCO Corporation in Monett. She had a warm infectious smile that would brighten anyone's day and was always putting others' needs before her own. Norma was musically inclined and very talented at playing the keyboard, guitar, and loved to sing. In her free time Norma enjoyed baking and spending time with family and friends. She previously attended First United Methodist Church el Mesia in Monett; she currently attended and was a member of Real Life Assembly in Monett. Norma was a devoted wife, mother, grandma, and friend, who will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

Survivors include her husband, Roberto Ortega, of Purdy; her son, Robbie Ortega, of Purdy; daughter, Vanessa Rosas and her husband Christian, of St. Louis; two grandchildren, Manny and Mikey; her mother, Trina Herd, of Monett; one sister, Genie McCullough, of Nixa; and several nieces and nephews.

Norma was preceded in death by her father, Emilio A. Alva on November 3, 2012, and her sister, Nora Elia Ortega on May 15, 2015.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 12, 2020, at the White Funeral Home and Crematory, Cassville, with Pastor Greg Gilliam and Pastor Edwin Marroquin officiating with cremation to follow.

A private family burial will be held at the Purdy City Cemetery at a later date.

The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Friday, December 11th at the funeral home.

The family suggests that masks and social distancing be practiced during this time.

Service and cremation arrangements are under the direction of the White Funeral Home and Crematory, Cassville, Missouri.

Los servicios funerarios se llevarán a cabo a las 2:00 p.m. el Sábado 12 de Diciembre de 2020 en la Funeraria y Crematorio de White, Cassville, con el pastor Greg Gilliam y el pastor Edwin Marroquin oficiando la cremación a continuación.

Un entierro familiar privado se llevará a cabo en el cementerio en la ciudad de Purdy en una fecha posterior.
