Obituary

Penny Ellen Holmberg, age 78, of Cassville, Missouri, graduated into heaven on Monday, February 5, 2018, at Mercy Hospital in Rogers, Arkansas. Mrs. Holmberg, daughter of Alex and Edith (Wallis) Cole, was born on April 15, 1939, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Upon graduating high school she received a degree in Culinary Arts and later went on to work in home health care. On February 28, 1960, she was united in marriage to Robert John Holmberg; he preceded her in death in April 2003. Mrs. Holmberg spent most of her life in Burlington, Wisconsin, before moving to Cassville in 2000 to make her home. She loved her dogs dearly and also enjoyed going to rummage sales and shows in Branson; she was a friend to many and will be missed.

Survivors include one son, Robert Holmberg, of Cassville; two daughters, Linda Holmberg, of Cassville, and Julie Busch and her husband Dan, of Burlington, Wisconsin; two grandchildren, Eden Bickford and her husband Aaron, and Jacob Busch; two sisters, Donna Wilson and her husband Phil, of Lindale, Texas, and Kathy Doughty, of Augusta, Wisconsin; one brother-in-law, David Lombardo, of Osseo, Wisconsin; two sisters-in-law, Jackie Larson, of Waterford, Wisconsin, and Doreen Cole, of Janesville, Wisconsin; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Ronald Larson and Gerald Cole, and two sisters, Barbara Lang and Judith Lombardo.

Memorial services will be held at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, February 15, 2018, at the White Funeral Home and Crematory, Cassville, with Pastor Dallas LaCaze officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to service time at the funeral home.
