Rayburn Russell Haddock, age 86, of Jenkins, Missouri, formerly of Exeter, Missouri, passed away at his home on Tuesday, May 31, 2022.  Son of Virgil and Frona (Carlin) Haddock, Rayburn was born on February 22, 1936, at home in Exeter.  On June 17, 1956, he married the love of his life, Evelyn Brown, in Exeter, and they shared sixty-six memorable years. Rayburn worked for Barry Electric Cooperative in Cassville where he was always greeting his customers with his warm infectious smile and made many lasting friendships throughout the years until his retirement.

Rayburn was a very loving man, with a heart of gold, who always put the needs of others before his own. He enjoyed fishing and gardening in his spare time and was also a guitarist who loved to play gospel bluegrass music. He enjoyed studying the Bible and was a member of Calvary Baptist Church, of Exeter. Rayburn had a love for tractors, but his greatest love and the joy of his heart was always his family. Rayburn will be fondly remembered as the best dad and grandfather anyone could ask for, he will be missed greatly by all who were blessed to know him.

Survivors include his loving wife, Evelyn Haddock, of Jenkins; two daughters, Teresa Akehurst, of Bella Vista, Arkansas, and Donna Allen and her husband Gary, of Jenkins; five grandchildren, Dawn Akehurst, of Anderson, Amanda Burkheart and her husband Sean, of Las Vegas, Nevada, Tracy Black and her husband Jeff, of Bella Vista, Arkansas, Cody Ennis and his wife Jordan, of Exeter, and Aaron Ennis and his wife Carissa, of Cassville; thirteen great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandson; two brothers, Ralph Haddock, and Gerald Haddock and his wife Alice, all of Exeter; one sister, Janet Pointer, of Exeter; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Rayburn was preceded in death by one brother, Dennis (Butch) Haddock, one sister, Elinor Aldridge, and infant siblings; his brother-in-law, Ronnie Pointer and sister-in-law, Christine Haddock.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, June 4, 2022, at the Ridgley Baptist Church in Ridgley, Missouri, with words of comfort spoken by Gary Allen.
