Raymond Lee Mathews, Sr., age 68, of Purdy, Missouri, passed away on Saturday, April 24, 2021, at Aurora Nursing Home in Aurora, Missouri. Mr. Mathews, son of Adrain and Mae (Mitchell) Mathews, was born on December 15, 1952, in Aurora. With living in the area his entire life, Raymond was well known by so many for having old car parts and other things they might need as well as working on their vehicles. He also enjoyed drag racing and spending time with his family.

Survivors include his two sons, Roy Mathews, of Fairview, and Raymond Mathews, Jr., of Exeter; two granddaughters, Francis and Adriana Mathews, of Fairview; one sister, Sharon Galloway, of Aurora; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Raymond was preceded in death by one brother, Ronnie Mathews.

Cremation arrangements are under the direction of the White Funeral Home and Crematory, Cassville, Missouri.
