The Rev. Richard Clark was born in Kingsville Texas to Ralph Clark Sr. and Willie Bolt Rogers, July 25, 1944. He was raised in Houston with his sister Pamela and brother Ralph Clark Jr. Richard attended SMU and took his Masters of Divinity at Nashotah House Theological Seminary where he served as Sacristan. He was ordained to the Priesthood in 1968 and served as curate at St. Albans in Arlington, Texas. He moved canonically to the Diocese of Arkansas in 1972 where he served at Trinity Cathedral in Litte Rock and St. James Eureka Springs before accepting a call to become Rector of Trinity Church Three Rivers, Michigan in 1987. Richard was a priest associate of St. Gregory's Benedictine Monastery for 50+ years. In 1999 he returned to Fort Worth, and served at St. Andrews, Bishop Davies Nursing Center, and San Juan de apostle as well as for his aging mother until his retirement at age 70. Returning to Arkansas, Richard continued to serve when called upon, including volunteering at the Echo Clinic.
He is survived by a loving family, Kimberly, Ariel, and his sister Pamela Wheeler (David)

A Requiem will be celebrated at St. Elizabeth's Parish Center in Eureka Springs, Arkansas on Monday August 21, 2023
His ashes will be interred at The Abbey.
Memorials may be given to St. Gregory's Abbey, St. Francis House or a favorite charity.
