Richard Allen Wardman, 78, of Shell Knob, Missouri, passed away at home on Tuesday, October 15, 2024, after a lengthy battle with cancer. Richard was born in Beloit, Wisconsin, on July 31, 1946. He graduated from South Beloit High School, So. Beloit, Illinois in 1964. Richard enlisted in the Army and served on a radio sight in Germany. In 1970, Richard married Shirley Majerus. They have one son, Bradley. As a machinist, Richard worked 35 years at Ingersoll Milling Machine Company, in Rockford, Illinois.

Upon retirement, he moved with his family in 2001, to Shell Knob, Missouri. Although retired, Richard liked to be busy, he went to work in Attractions at Silver Dollar City, in Branson, Missouri for 7 years.

Richard enjoyed fishing, working with wood, gardening, digging for gems and talking with people.

He was preceded in death by his father, William Wardman.

Survivors include his wife of 54 years, Shirley and his son, Bradley both of Shell Knob; and several cousins.
