Richard Harkins Weddington, age 86, of Cassville, Missouri, passed away at his home on Wednesday, February 24, 2021. Mr. Weddington, son of John and Esther (Kelley) Weddington, was born on June 06, 1934, in Eureka Springs, Arkansas. Richard was a 1952 Cassville High School graduate and subsequently enlisted in the United States Army where he served his country proudly.    On January 14, 1989, he was united in marriage to Wanda Miller.

Richard will always be remembered for always being the one to call when needing someone to haul something.  He was known to haul candies, feed, hay, tractors, all the way to heavy equipment.  Richard was a longtime member of the First Baptist Church where he could always be found greeting people at the doors and was also active at Northpoint.  He meant so much to so many and will be greatly missed.

Survivors include his wife of thirty-two years, Wanda Weddington, of Cassville; one son, Carl Weddington and his wife Lesli, of Tulsa, Oklahoma; one grandson, Alexander Weddington and his wife Angel, of Tulsa, Oklahoma; two sisters, Sue Cooper and her husband J.C., of Wentworth, and Martha Lou Braun, of Springfield; and several nieces and nephews.

Richard was preceded in death by his parents.

Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, February 27, 2021, at the First Baptist Church in Cassville, with Pastor James Weaver officiating; burial to follow at Oak Hill Cemetery, Cassville.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to service time at the church.
