Ronald J. Gordon, age 79, of Aurora, Missouri, passed away on Saturday, June 29, 2019, at Mercy Hospital in Springfield. Mr. Gordon, son of Edward and Eunice (Petersen) Gordon, was born on December 27, 1939, in Rib Lake, Wisconsin. Upon graduating high school, Ron went on to further his education at the University of Arkansas and later received his Doctorate from Vanderbilt University in Nashville, Tennessee. On October 2, 1976, he was united in marriage to Earlene Smith in Boulder, Colorado. He enjoyed gardening, woodworking and loved spending time on his farm. Mr. Gordon was a member of the First Christian Church in Bentonville, Arkansas.

Survivors include his wife of forty-two years, Earlene Gordon, of Aurora; four sons, Ronald G. Gordon, of Oak Creek, Wisconsin, Brian Atwell, of Oshkosh, Wisconsin, Pat Saylor and Mike Saylor, both of Casper, Wyoming; three daughters, Kitty Ebert, of Medford, Wisconsin, Merry Jones, of Aurora, and Anita Robinson, of Wilmington, North Carolina; sixteen grandchildren; fifteen great-grandchildren; two brothers, Richard Gordon, of Rib Lake Wisconsin, and James Gordon, of Heartland, Wisconsin; one sister, Donna Pollack, of Malone, Wisconsin; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one son, Dean Gordon, and one daughter, Pamela Saylor-Trick.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.

Cremation arrangements are under the direction of the White Funeral Home and Crematory, Cassville, Missouri.
