CASSVILLE

Obituary

Rosetta Louise Rose, "Rosie", age 61, of Cassville, MO passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by those she loved. Though with extremely heavy hearts her family grieves her absence, they rejoice in the blessed assurance that she is now at home with her Savior, Jesus Christ.

Rosetta was born August 28, 1964, in Plainwell, Michigan to Junior Barnes and Jackie Irene Elkins, who preceded her in death.

She is lovingly remembered by her daughter, Layne Rose; her son, Dakota Rose, and his wife, Kiah-Grace; and her three grandsons, Ira, Canaan, and Judah, who brought her immeasurable joy. She is also survived by her eight brothers and sisters and their families, all of whom she loved dearly.

Rosetta graduated from Cassville High School in 1982 and later fulfilled the goal of earning her bachelor's degree from Fort Hays State University in 2010.

She was very devoted to serving others as a case manager for individuals with developmental disabilities. She was a compassionate advocate who genuinely cared for those she served and treasured the many friendships she formed throughout her career. Her generous heart extended beyond her work, as she continually looked for opportunities to bless those in need.

Rosetta dearly loved her church family at Full Life Fellowship in Purdy, Missouri. Her faith in Christ was the foundation of her life. She faithfully taught her children the truth of God's Word, and that legacy continues today through her grandchildren.

She had a gift for celebrating life's simple moments, making even ordinary days feel special. She loved reading a good book, reading aloud with loved ones, enjoying a picnic, and counting her many blessings. To her family and friends, she was known for her wit and humor and steadfast trust in God's promises.

Rosetta ("Rosie" to many) leaves behind countless cherished memories and a lasting legacy of faith, love, generosity, advocacy, and grace. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
