Obituary

Ryan E. Helm, age 37, of Cassville, Missouri, passed away on Thursday, March 29, 2018, at Cassville Health Care and Rehab. Ryan, the son of Cecil Helm and Carrie Smith, was born on June 8, 1980, in Bentonville, Arkansas. He was a 1998 Bentonville High School graduate. On February 5, 2000, he was united in marriage to Betty Self. Ryan's family was very important to him, always being there for them. He enjoyed the outdoors such as camping, fishing and kayaking, and was very talented working on leather and wood. He always had a smile on his face and was a true friend to all that knew him; he loved life and lived it to the fullest. Ryan attended All Faith United Methodist Church in Eagle Rock where he enjoyed participating in JAVA with Jesus. He was loved by so many and will be greatly missed.

Survivors include his wife, Betty Helm, of Cassville; his son, Fury Helm, of Cassville; his father, Cecil Helm and his step-mother, Loretta, of Haltom City, Texas; his mother, Carrie Smith and step-dad, Karl McMillan, of Bentonville, Arkansas; two brothers, Howard Helm and Dustin Helm; three sisters, Natasha Keehner, Brandye Reeves and Anna Tijerina; his maternal grandparents, Bill and Wilma Williamson, of Bentonville, Arkansas; his mother-in-law, Donna Baker and her husband Alan, of Duraham, Arkansas, his father-in-law, Willis Self, of Gravette, Arkansas; three sisters-in-law, Tammy Settle and her husband Buck, of Fayetteville, Arkansas, Tisha Cherish, of Bentonville, and Donna Golladay and her husband Tim of Wyandotte, Oklahoma; one brother-in-law, Virgil Self and his wife Stephanie, of Rifle, Colorado; and several aunts, uncles, and a host of extended family that all loved him dearly.

Ryan was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Howard and Clara Helm.

Memorial contributions may be made to the family and entrusted to White Funeral Home and Crematory, P.O. Box 890, Cassville, Mo 65625.

Memorial services will be held at 2:00 p.m. at the Roaring River State Park CCC Shelter located off of Junction Hwy. F and Hwy. 112, on April 7, 2018.

Service and cremation arrangements are under the direction of the White Funeral Home and Crematory, Cassville, Missouri.
