Samuel Vaughan, age 85, of Monett, Missouri, passed away on March 29, 2024, at Solace House of the Ozarks in Joplin, Missouri. Samuel was born on January 6, 1939, in Brightwater, Arkansas, to Claude Allen and Willie May (Swaffar) Vaughan. Samuel really enjoyed casinos, playing poker, playing games on his computer, shaking a leg on the dance floor, and listening to his ham radio.

Survivors include three sons, Samuel Dean Vaughan and his wife Ann of Knoxville, Iowa, Michael Lee Vaughan and his wife Debora of Knoxville, Iowa, and Thomas Allen Vaughan and his wife Kelly of Georgia; two daughters, Lisa K Hunt of Verona, Missouri, and Tamara Wallace and her significant other Herbert Gilliland of Monett, Missouri; 15 grandchildren; and 29 great- grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Claude Allen and Willie May Vaughan, his wife, Bessie Furn (Eutsler) Vaughan, and one daughter Beth Marie Vaughan.

A graveside will be held at 11:00 a.m. April 6, 2023, at Maple Park Cemetery in Aurora, Missouri.
