Obituary

Therma Dorene Alley, age 85, of Seligman, Missouri, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Tuesday, August 3, 2021. Mrs. Alley, daughter Theron and Juanita (Hall) Beeman, was born on January 20, 1936, in Winfield, Kansas. Subsequently graduating high school in Oxford, Kansas, on May 20, 1954, she went on to work at the farm service agency and also spent many years working for Binney and Smith Crayola Company. On October 10, 1955, she was united in marriage to Dale Curtis Alley at the First Baptist Church in Oxford, Kansas; he preceded her in death on February 11, 2021. In 1970, she and Dale moved to the area where she worked on the farm milking cows, gardening, canning and baking. Therma was well known for her delicious cookies and cinnamon rolls and everyone knew that she had them at home and Dale would have them on hand working various jobs. She had a huge heart but wasn't afraid to put anyone in their place; Therma was loved by many and will be greatly missed.

Survivors include one son, Greg Alley and his wife Karen, of Seligman; one daughter, Lisa Mitchell and her husband Charlie, of Seligman; ten grandchildren, Jessica Lombard, of Wheaton, Caleb Mitchell and his wife Melissa, of Seligman, Michaela Foster and her husband Josh, of Higginsville, Shannon Mitchell, of Seligman, Shawn Alley and his wife Amanda, of Garfield, Arkansas, Brandon Alley and his wife Samantha, of Exeter, Dillon Alley, of Washburn, Jason Batson and his wife Christina, of Jenkins, Jamie Pinkley, of Aurora, and Tia Morgan and her husband Austin, of Washburn; eight great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and husband, Therma was preceded in death by one brother, Arthur "Bud" Beeman.

Memorial services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, August 7, 2021, at the family farm in Seligman, with Pastor Carroll Williamson officiating.

Cremation arrangements are under the direction of the White Funeral Home and Crematory, Cassville, Missouri.
