Thomas "Tom" Deverle Northcutt, age 76, of Cassville, Missouri, passed away on Thursday, September 16, 2021, at Washington Regional Hospital in Fayetteville, Arkansas. Mr. Northcutt, son of Billy and Ora Bea (Wyrick) Northcutt, was born on August 28, 1945, in Norman, Oklahoma. Subsequently graduating high school in Cherryville, Kansas, Tom enlisted in the United States Air Force, where he proudly served his country on three tours in Vietnam. On February 20, 2009, he was united in marriage to Sharon Dorris in Mt. Vernon.
Tom was very well known for his expertise in cooling and refrigeration and helped keep many businesses cool and running for many years. In his spare time, Tom enjoyed camping, old cars, taking long rides on the backroads with the love of his life Sharon and his constant K-9 companion, Sophie. He had a mind of his own and wasn't ever afraid to let you know what he was thinking. Tom had a rough exterior but deep down had a huge heart. He was a friend to so many, leaving a lasting impression on so many lives, and will be greatly missed.
Survivors include his loving wife, Sharon Northcutt, of Cassville; three step-daughters, Tiffanie Mooneyham and her husband Dustin, of Aurora, Keri Fisher and her husband David, of Banbridge, Indiana, and Angie Shelley, of Tonopah, Arizona; one step-son, Kevin Holtze and his wife Brandi, of Roachdale, Indiana; eleven grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; one brother, Danny Northcutt and family, of San Antonio, Texas; his Uncle Larry Northcutt and his wife Ladonna, of Grove, Oklahoma; four brothers-in-law, Ronald Dorris, of Klamath Falls, Oregon, Richard Dorris and his wife Kwi Ye, of San Leandro, California, and Steve Dorris, of Exeter; sister-in-law, Kandie Dorris, of Anderson, California; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Tom was preceded in death by one brother, Garry Northcutt; his father-in-law, Veron Dorris; brother-in-law, Larry Dorris; and his sister-in-law, Jodie Dorris.
Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, September 23, 2021, at the White Funeral Home and Crematory, Cassville, with Pastor Jimmie Finch officiating; burial to follow at the Maplewood Cemetery, Exeter, with full military honors provided by the United States Air Force and Veterans of the Ozarks.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, September 22 nd at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Haven of the Ozarks in memory of Tom and entrusted to the White Funeral Home, P.O. Box 890, Cassville, MO 65625.
Service arrangements are under the direction of the White Funeral Home and Crematory, Cassville, Missouri.
