Tommy Ray Boatman, age 78, of Cassville, Missouri, passed away at his home on Friday, February 11, 2022.  Son of Johnny and Ruth (Hicks) Boatman, Tommy was born on May 13, 1943, in Bakersfield, California.  Subsequent to graduating high school Tommy enlisted in the United States Navy and served his country proudly.

On March 26, 1988, he married the love of his life Carolyn Nash in Bakersfield, California.  Tommy and Carolyn moved to Cassville in 2011 to make their forever home. Some of Tommy's favorite pastimes were spending time on the computer by trying to outsmart it, dancing, gardening, traveling, and camping.  He loved spending time with his precious dog, Dee-O-Gee, as well as family and friends.

Survivors include his loving wife, Carolyn Boatman, of Cassville; one son, John Boatman and his wife Deann, of Bakersfield, California; three step-children, Kyle Evans, of Canyon Country, California, Kim Evans, Los Gatos, California, and Shannon De La Cruz and her husband Ricky, of Bakersfield, California; three grandchildren; and one sister, Janet Craft, of Bakersfield, California.

In addition to his parents, Tommy was preceded in death by an infant daughter.

Graveside services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, February 16, 2022, at Horner Cemetery, Cassville, with words of comfort spoken by Russell Brock.

The family will receive friends from noon until 12:45 p.m. at the White Funeral Home & Crematory, Cassville.
