Verlea Louise Thomas, age 77, of Exeter, Missouri, passed away at her home on Wednesday, November 28, 2018. Mrs. Thomas, daughter of Edward "Cotton" and Elnora (Alice) Nicodemus, was born on April 5, 1941, in Elkhart, Kansas. On June 4, 1958, she was united in marriage to Carl "Nub" Thomas in Cross Hollows, Cassville. Mrs. Thomas enjoyed quilting, crocheting, fishing, camping, attending her grandchildren's ballgames, and traveling. Her family meant the world to her and they all were her pride and joy.

Survivors include her husband, Carl "Nub" Thomas, of Exeter; two sons, Mike Thomas and his wife Michelle, and Mark Thomas and his wife Julie, all of Exeter; one daughter, Cindy Burrows and her husband Buddy, of Washburn; fourteen grandchildren; nineteen great-grandchildren; one brother, Victor Nicodemus and his wife B.J., of Pinedale, Wyoming; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one daughter, Debbie Noble; one grandson, Trevor Carl Coons-Thomas; one great-grandson, Lane Rickson-Thomas; one brother, Larry Nicodemus; and one sister, Diana Burnette.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, December 4, 2018, at the White Funeral Home and Crematory, Cassville, with Pastor Tony Ball officiating. Burial to follow at Oak Ridge Cemetery in Cassville. The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Monday, December 3 ^rd at the funeral home.
