Walter Allan Haines Jr., age 83, of Eagle Rock, Missouri, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, January 22, 2025, at his home. He was surrounded by the love and warmth of his family during his final moments. Walter was born on February 20, 1941, in Vancouver, Canada, to Walter A. and Elma (Rogers) Haines Sr. On July 12, 1963, Walter united in marriage with Arletta McBride in Vancouver, Washington. Arletta survives him, cherishing the wonderful memories they created together. Walter was deeply committed to serving his country. He joined the army and was deployed to Vietnam in 1963, a period that shaped his character and resilience. His time in the military was marked by dedication and bravery, reflecting his unwavering sense of duty. Despite the challenges and hardships.

Survivors include his loving wife of 61 years, Arletta Haines; one son, Shaun Haines of Eagle Rock, Missouri; two grandchildren, Sage and Mia; two sisters, Shirley Duber of Weebe, Oregon, and Sharon Adams of Palestine, Texas. Walter's legacy lives on through his family, who will continue to honor his memory and the values he held dear. His life serves as a testament to the strength, dedication, and love that he embodied.

Walter is preceded in death by his parents, Walter and Elma Haines.
