Warner Watkins, 54, passed away peacefully on September 26, 2025, at Mercy Hospital in Springfield.

Born October 24, 1970, in Bentonville, Arkansas, Warner was the son of Dale and Leona (Pruitt) Watkins. A lifelong admirer of old Western films, Warner found joy and meaning in the values and storytelling of that era. He had a strong affinity for animals and was a steadfast advocate for their care and well-being. Known for his quick wit and love of spirited debate, he approached every topic with curiosity and conviction, welcoming all viewpoints with respect and insight.

He is survived by one sister, Deanna Hill of Cassville, Missouri; two brothers, James Watkins of Albuquerque, New Mexico, and Howard Watkins of San Antonio, Texas; numerous nieces and nephews.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date

Cremation Arrangements are under the direction of White Funeral Home and Crematory in Cassville, Missouri.
