Warren Daniel Swan, age 61, of Washburn, Missouri, passed away doing what he loved to do, riding his tractor, on Tuesday, December 11, 2018. Mr. Swan, son of Franklin and Charlotte (Searle) Swan, was born on March 23, 1957, in Chicago, Illinois. Upon graduating high school he received his Bachelor's Degree and went on to receive his Masters in Computer Programing from the Illinois Institute of Technology in Chicago. On August 7, 1982, he was united in marriage to Emily Wells in Hinsdale, Illinois. He and Emily moved to Washburn in 2003 to make their home.
Mr. Swan loved working on his farm, building trails in the woods, and riding his tractor. He was musically inclined and played several different instruments, including the piano at church and the hammered dulcimer. He also enjoyed Geocaching and Waymarking. Mr. Swan was a member of the Prairie Hill Baptist Church in Washburn. He was a dear friend to many and will be deeply missed.
Survivors include his wife, Emily Swan, of Washburn; one son, Daniel Swan, of Charlotte, North Carolina; three daughters, Olive Swan, of Bartlesville, Oklahoma, Heidi Gillispie and her husband Joshua, of Buford, Georgia, and Amy Swan, of Ashland, Wisconsin; two grandchildren, Henry Gillispie and Adelle Gillispie; his father, Franklin Swan and his wife Lynn, of Paw Paw, Illinois; three brothers, Frank Swan, of Fulton, Illinois, John Swan, of Crystal Lake, Illinois, and Joel Swan, of Oak Forest, Illinois; two sisters, Cindy Martin, of Chesterton, Indiana, and Barbara Colyer, of Thompson Station, Tennessee; and several nieces and nephews.
Mr. Swan was preceded in death by his mother, Charlotte Swan.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, December 14, 2018, at the White Funeral Home and Crematory, Cassville, with Pastor Jerry Williams officiating. Burial to follow at Hickman Cemetery in Washburn. The family will receive friends from 9:00 a.m. until service time at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Prairie Hill Baptist Church Building Fund and entrusted to the White Funeral Home and Crematory, P.O. Box 890, Cassville, MO 65625.
Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the White Funeral Home and Crematory, Cassville, Missouri.
