Willard Eugene Ames, age 94, of Shell Knob, Missouri, passed away on Monday, September 28, 2020, at Cox Hospital in Springfield.  Willard was born on August 27, 1926, in Norway, Kansas, the son of Howard and Evelyn (Fritzinger) Ames. On January 11, 1956, he was united in marriage to Sharon Goddard in Concordia, Kansas. He worked twenty-five years for the Continental Airlines before he retired . Mr. Ames proudly served for our country as a Sargent in the Honor Guard.

Survivors include his wife, Sharon Ames, of Shell Knob; three sons, Audie Ames of Delphos, Kansas, Kenneth Ames and his wife Linda, of Shell Knob, and Darin Ames of Salina, Kansas; one daughter, LeAnn Ames of Shell Knob; one brother, Dale Ames, of Denver, Colorado; three grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Willard was preceded in death by his parents, one grandson, Shane Ames, and seven brothers and sisters.

Cremation arrangements are under the direction of White Funeral Home and Crematory, Cassville, Missouri.
