William "Bill" Charles Henning, age 96, of Cassville, Missouri, passed away at his home on Wednesday, May 5, 2021. Mr. Henning, son of William and Rose (Boyle) Henning, was born on July 5, 1924, in St. Louis, Missouri. He left Missouri and moved to California where he started his own upholstery company. Bill served his country proudly in the United States Army Artillery Division from 1943 to 1945 and was awarded four bronze stars during his time of service. He was united in marriage to Jeanne Fitch; she preceded him in death on October 20, 2017. Bill later moved back to Missouri to enjoy farm life.

Bill is survived by his daughter, Mary Ruth Henning; his son, William R. Henning; his grandchildren, Sarah Taylor and Amanda Martinez; and step-daughter, Susan Ragsdale.

The family will receive friends from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. on Monday, May 17, 2021, at the White Funeral Home and Crematory in Cassville.

A private burial will take place at the Missouri Veterans Cemetery in Springfield, Missouri.
