Obituary

William "T" Simmons, age 86, formerly of Amarillo and then moving to Shell Knob, Missouri, went to join his Savior on Saturday, May 25, 2019. "T" as everyone called him was the son of William and Zeffie (Thomas) Simmons was born on February 3, 1933, in Tulia, Texas. On September16, 1956, he married the love of his life, Lola Chisum. They were married sixty-two years when she passed October 31, 2018. He served the National Guard proudly and then had a very successful career starting out as a lineman and ending in electrical sales. He retired in 1998 and moved to Shell Knob to live on Table Rock Lake. T was a very loving and giving man and nothing made him happier than spoiling his wife and girls. He loved a good game of golf with friends and he will be missed by all that knew him.

Daddy you gave so much of yourself to make sure us and our families were safe and happy and asked for nothing in return. Thank you for all the lessons in life. Thank you for helping and forgiving us always. Thank you for being the best daddy anyone could ever ask for. But most of all, thank you for loving us. You will be so terribly missed.

T had three brothers, Clarence Elvin Simmons, Gordon Jean Simmons, and Lewis Simmons. All preceded him in death.

Survivors include two daughters, Deana Hooten and her husband Sheldon, of Cassville, Missouri, and Joni Walker and her husband Chris, of Amarillo, Texas; five grandchildren, Sean Hooten, of Branson, Missouri, Kala Hooten Webster and her husband Josh, of Gentry, Arkansas, Shayla Walker, Charles Walker, and Kerri Walker, all of Amarillo, Texas; five great-grandchildren, Steven Hooten, Silas Webster, Cade Webster, Aliyah Walker, and Avery Walker.

Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 30, 2019, at Memorial Park Cemetery in Amarillo, Texas.

Service arrangements are under the direction of the White Funeral Home and Crematory, Cassville, Missouri.
