Yvonne King, age 85, of Sedalia, Missouri, formerly of Cassville, passed away on Sunday, March 7, 2021, at Bothwell Regional Health Center in Sedalia. Mrs King, daughter of Robert and Mildred (McKinney) Johnson, was born on April 23, 1935, in Saline, Missouri.  On April 5, 1952, she was united in marriage to Jerry D. King in Princeton, Missouri; he preceded her in death on March 6, 2015.  She was a homemaker for most of her life who stayed home caring for her children, always having being there, having meals ready, and warm hugs. She enjoyed bead work, crocheting, quilting, and Japanese Punch Pictures. Yvonne always welcomed you with her warm infectious smile; she had a heart of gold and would help anyone.  She was a member of the Gunter Fundamental Methodist Church in Butterfield.

Survivors include one son, Kenneth King and his wife Dana, of Purdy; two daughters, Linda King, of Sedalia, and Tammy King, of Bellingham, Washington; four grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; two brothers, Bobby Johnson, of Kansas, and Marty Rutherford, of Quartz Hill, California; two sisters, Joy Halligan, of Overland Park, Kansas, and Jeannie Barber, of Independence; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and husband, Yvonne was preceded in death by two brothers, Bricey Johnson and Jimmy Brawner.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, March 11, 2021, at the Gunter Fundamental Methodist Church, east of Butterfield, with Pastor Jerry Nickle officiating; burial to follow at Gunter Cemetery.
